Self-Promotion

The City of Duisburg enterprises have published their vast range of services offered through inventive poster campaigns. Thousands of waste-paper bin sides are used to inform all citizens, also those in the suburban areas.

Sponsoring

Following an agreement with the tradespeople of the City of Mayen, the City Depot ordered the design bins, distributed them and takes care of emptying them. The sponsors are invoiced for this and in turn have the right to use the bins for advertising purposes. After only two years the City has placed more than 150 bins without having to use its own funds.

Third-party Advertising

In the City of Dueren, regional companies have been able to use the surfaces for advertising for a period of one year from the start. Due to favourable rates, 95 % of the surfaces available in the city centre were rented out quickly. After two years, 300 containers had paid for themselves.
